COMPARATIVES AND SUPERLATIVES.
DEFINITION:
Comparatives are used to compare precisely the same quality or characteristic two nouns. For example, in the phrase "a small shirt" (a shirt girl), small is an adjective. To compare this object with another, using the comparative adjective, "a smaller shirt" (a shirt smaller). To form the comparative, follow these rules:
• It adds the adjective "er" or "r", if it ends in "e". small - smaller
• If the word ends in a vowel + consonant, the consonant is doubled. big - bigger
• If it ends in "y" is changed to "ier". happy - happier
When the adjective has more than three syllables, the comparative is formed using the word "more" below. expensive - more expensive careful - more careful.
To compare two objects in a sentence, add "than". This shirt is smaller than that shirt. This shirt is smaller than that shirt.
The superlatives used to describe nouns that are the only ones who have a quality that sets them apart from the rest. As we saw in the phrase "a small shirt" (a shirt girl), small is an adjective. If all other shirts are great, can be compared using the superlative "the smallest shirt" (the smallest shirt). Whenever you add "the" before. To form the superlative, follow these rules:
STRUCTURE:
• It adds the adjective "est" or "st", if it ends in "e". small - the smallest
• If the word ends in a vowel + consonant, the consonant is doubled. big - the biggest
• If it ends in "y" is changed to "iest". happy - the happiest
When the adjective has more than three syllables, the superlative is formed using the words "the most" in front. expensive - the most expensive careful - the most careful
Certain comparative and superlative adjectives irregular. The only way to learn them is to memorize.
Adjective Comparative Superlative
good (good) better (better) the best (the best)
bad (bad) worse (worse) the worst (worst)
Adjectives in English (as in Spanish) are 3 ways:

• Superlative Degree (Superlative)

COMPARATIVOS Y SUPERLATIVOS.
DEFINICION:
This shirt is smaller than that shirt. Esta camisa es más chica que aquella camisa.
Los superlativos sirven para referirse a sustantivos que son los únicos que presentan una cualidad que los diferencia del resto. Como vimos, en la frase "a small shirt" (una camisa chica), small es un adjetivo. Si todas las demás camisas son grandes, se puede comparar usando el superlativo "the smallest shirt" (la camisa más chica). Siempre se agrega "the" delante.
Adjective Comparative Superlative
good (bueno) better (mejor) the best (el mejor)
bad (malo) worse (peor) the worst (el peor)
Los adjetivos en inglés (al igual que en español) tienen 3 formas:
comparativo y superlativo en inglés

Grado Comparativo (Comparative)
